Yolngu Bark Art Transformed into Ceiling Art Installation

Barker College, located on Sydney’s North Shore, commissioned Di Emme to convert a Yolngu bark painting into a ceiling installation for their new Math and Student Hub. The installation consists of 53 perforated aluminium panels covering an area of 9m x 12m.

Di Emme worked closely with Darug artist, Leanne Tobin, to create this striking subtractive wall art at GPT Group’s 32 Smith Parramatta. Finessing Leanne’s sketches and scaling them to the whole-wall sculpted mural required a lot of interpretive work

Rose Hill Packet Replica

Rose Hill Packet Replica

Artist Chris Kenyon and Di Emme collaborated to create a replica of the historic Rose Hill Packet as a public art installation in the lobby of 6 Parramatta Square. Kenyon undertook archival research for the detailed boat design and Di Emme artisans employed traditional techniques to craft the 3-tonne replica. The boat was transported in two halves and reassembled on site.

Di Emme was commissioned to create soaring doves for the Wesley Edward Eagar Centre in Surry Hills. The eight doves depict different stages of flight and symbolise a journey of empowerment. The doves are fitted with individual winches for easy maintenance and demonstrate Di Emme's ability to create impactful and dynamic public art installations.

Eternal Flame Sculpture Canterbury Hurstone Park RSL

Di Emme crafted an eight-metre aluminium eternal flame memorial as a public art installation for the Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL. This artwork and the commemorative plaque with its custom hand-painted rust finish and LED backlighting are a striking landmark on Canterbury Road.

Illuminating Ramadan Night Market and Celebrating Local Culture

Di Emme was commissioned to create Arabian-inspired lanterns to light the heart of the Ramadan Night Markets at the junction of Haldon Street and Railway Parade Lakemba. Di Emme fabricated seven lamps and 12 moon-shaped lanterns from powder-coated stainless steel and UV-rated acrylic.
